The sEGments slicer/sampler app offers a range of powerful features for importing, analyzing, and manipulating audio files. With automatic transient detection and the ability to manually add markers, users can easily find the best samples within their loops or audio files.

The app allows for playback of these slices using MIDI external controllers or the built-in pads and keyboard layout. Each slice can be played chromatically, offering a realistic synth-like experience with mono or polyphonic voices (up to 12).

Users have full control over each individual slice, with parameters such as reverse, level, attack, release, start point, and length. Additionally, each slice can have its own effects applied, including reverb, delay, bitcrusher, and filter. These parameters are all automatable within any AU host.

sEGments automatically detects the BPM and root key of audio files and adjusts tempo and pitch accordingly based on the user's project settings.

The app is compatible with various hosts such as GarageBand, AUM, BeatMaker3, NanoStudio2, n-Track9, and others. It supports AU Multi-output functionality.
